Violet T-shirt

Why is the color violet not present in the flag of any country?

There are about 196 countries in the world, and none of their flags have the violet color despite being a beautiful and beloved color, so why?

Until the year 1800 AD, the color violet was very rare and expensive, also its dye was evaluated with gold, and throughout the ages, the violet color has been associated with wealth and strength. Only the velvet class of society wears it.

And the reason for his distinction at that time; The dye used in its production comes from traders in the city of "Tyre" (southern Lebanon) since the time of the Phoenicians, and they extract it from small sea snails that are not found anywhere else in the world. They needed more than 10,000 snails to extract just one gram of dye, yet it was not very stable with washing and heat. Of course, only the classes of rulers and kings could afford these costs.

There is a famous tale about the Roman Emperor Aurelian, who did not allow his wife to buy violet clothes because the dye cost him 3 times its weight in gold.

Thus, no country was able to bear the costs of using the color violet in its flag.

And here we may ask :

How the color is available to everyone now?

In 1856, 18-year-old chemist William Henry Perkin and his teacher were trying to discover a cure for malaria. And by chance, a violet compound was produced with him... he notes that it can be used in dyeing fabrics in violet.

This is how he worked on his project secretly, and far from the eyes of his teacher.. until he patented the purple dye, and noting the stability of the dye with washing and heat by ironing - unlike previous natural dyes - its use spread widely, and Birkin became very rich because of this coincidence!

Since then, the color violet has become available to everyone and its value has faded.

Die Empty!

The writer successfully chooses the title of his book, when I read the title for the first time I felt like there is something big hidden inside it!.

as I expected the book takes you to a different level of thinking, from the beginning, the writer warns us of the importance of doing everything that comes to our mind before we die!.

When we get old, regret for the things we did not do is greater than the things we did and failed.

The most important thing is to try!

The writer says:

When you are in the midst of the fray it can feel futile to think about anything other than hitting your deadlines and chasing the next promotion. It’s easy to get lost, and wake up many years later in a strange land asking yourself, “Who am I, how did I get here, and how do I go back?

The writer also says:

“Embrace the importance of now, and refuse to allow the lull of comfort, fear, familiarity, and ego to prevent you from taking action on your ambitions…The cost of inaction is vast. Don’t go to your grave with your best work inside of you. Choose to die empty.”

Meaning all the good that is within you, hand it over before you leave, if you have a good idea implement it, a helpful knowledge! get it, a deep goal achieved it.

Here the writer tells us to pay attention to what we do in our lives and not to forget ourselves and our private lives when all our thinking is focused on the job!

The book also deals with some important tips for what can help us in our professional lives, such as moving away from the illusion that makes us imagine our capabilities beyond our energies. Because this is enough to put us in an endless cycle.

The book also includes tips on boredom, which causes many problems, excessive rest, and distractions. These and other things cause a lot of losses in our lives.

The book also talked about how to adapt, but with confidence without exaggeration.

And how to follow passion and not give in to apathy, and not wait for anyone to start our own project. The initiative must come from ourselves and based on our own ideas.

A beautiful and simple book in which the writer tried to present his experiences and ideas in a simple way and with a full explanation.

it's recommended. ✨❤️

Journaling Diary

If I ask you what is the similarity between the human brain and the teapot, what do you think is the similarity here?

For sure not because both of them are Circular.

Let me tell you what is the similarity between them.

When we light a fire under the teapot we can notice the water moving slowly, after a while, we can see the water start boils and later on we can see water steam coming out from the teapot because the pressure is high inside it.

When we remove the cover you can notice the teapot feeling comfortable after a long time of pressure.

Our brain is a bit similar to the teapot process but unfortunately, we can't remove the cover to make the pressure or stress goes out.

But good for us, that we do have some tricks we can use to remove the pressure inside our heads, and one of these tricks is the journaling

Journaling or blogging is a habit that is not prevalent in our current culture, and I say in our current culture, because before it was a natural, widely used, and widespread habit.

Journaling was used a very long time ago in almost everything like writing down thoughts, feelings..etc.

One of the most famous people named Marcus Aurelius Antoninus was writing his thoughts and feelings that were collected later on in one book named (Meditations) and by the way, the book was very famous.

and there is another book name (mind hunting-صيد العقل) for Ibn al-Jawzi, and it was all about what came into his mind wrote it down like thoughts and feelings.

These examples are just to let you know that journaling is not new and was used a very long time ago but unfortunately no one talks about it these days.

We only hear that an artist write down his thoughts or that a president write down his thoughts and later collected them in one book and publish them to the public, that may make you feel that no one can do journaling and this is against the reality because anyone can use journaling and this must be normal.

Let me ask you a question, If someone told you that there is a man if you know him your life will be easier and much better and he will help you with many things and make you happier.

Sure you will be trying to know this man and make him your best friend.

That man is you! I am not joking, that man is you.

If everyone can know himself, that will help a lot without exaggeration.

You may ask yourself, is there anyone who knows me better than I?

or you may say: I know myself well.

But the truth is No, not all of us know ourselves, or most of us are not able to know ourselves very well.

The best method to know yourself well is journaling, and this is 1 of many useful things of journaling (we will talk about the rest later)

Important question:

How is journaling able to make me reduce the pressure or stress?

Let me answer this in a simple way.

The Human mind usually has many different thoughts in 1 second, which means every hour we have around 100 or 1000 thoughts that have come into our mind in very random ways

by that time, tons of thoughts will be inside our heads that nicely need sorting and classification (something like your desktop, all the files must organize into folders to avoid mess)

and how to do this in our mind? by journaling

In a nutshell, this is what journaling does. sorting and categorizing thoughts and making them visible to you

What are the benefits of journaling?

1- Reduce pressure and stress.

2- Write a journal help you organize your thoughts or ideas or feeling or even your daily activity and put it in front of you.

3- Daily journaling arranging your random thoughts.

4- Documenting your psychological state, your days, your feelings in certain moments, how you were thinking, and your powerful points, or weakness.

5- journaling is a great reminder of how we were before today.

6- gives you full knowledge about yourself.

In the end, I wanted to write my own experience with journaling from zero till now but I will leave it for another article to give you full Information and tools and apps to help you make journaling easier.

So what you are waiting for?

go ahead and start journaling

Johnny Depp, Amber Heard

“Tell the world, Johnny Depp, tell them, I, Johnny Depp, a man, I am a victim too of domestic violence, and see how many people believe or side with you.”—Amber Heard

Most of us heard this lines before and in the past couple weeks we was watching The most famous lawsuit ever in Hollywood history, The battle between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is finally over. On Wednesday,

a seven-member jury found that Heard did defame Depp in his civil suit against his ex. Depp, who prevailed on all three claims, was awarded $10 million in compensatory damages, plus punitive damages of $5 million. The actress won one of three claims in the countersuit against her former husband and was awarded $2 million.

“False, very serious and criminal allegations were levied at me via the media, which triggered an endless barrage of hateful content, although no charges were ever brought against me,” Depp said in a statement. “It had already traveled around the world twice within a nanosecond and it had a seismic impact on my life and my career…And six years later, the jury gave me my life back. I am truly humbled.”

In a statement of her own, Heard said: “The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I’m heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband. I’m even more disappointed with what this verdict means for other women. It is a setback. It sets back the clock to a time when a woman who spoke up and spoke out could be publicly shamed and humiliated. It sets back the idea that violence against women is to be taken seriously. I believe Johnny’s attorneys succeeded in getting the jury to overlook the key issue of Freedom of Speech and ignore evidence that was so conclusive that we won in the UK. I’m sad I lost this case. But I am sadder still that I seem to have lost a right I thought I had as an American – to speak freely and openly.”

Amber Heard lost everything and most likely she can't work as acter anymore and she had a real problem now with the money that she have to pay it to Jonny, and we didn't talk about the trust issue and how the people see her after losing the lawsuit.

For Johnny Depp now he start to heal up after a very long time, probably lot's of Director start calling him and offering many new Chances, jobs, deals..etc.

I think Johnny will take a long break before he start works again.

What If? By Randall Munroe

If two immortals were placed on opposite sides of an uninhabited Earth-like planet, how much would pass before they found each other?

This book answers this question and dozens of other questions.

Randall Patrick Munroe (born 1984) is an American cartoonist, author, and engineer best known as the creator of the webcomic XKCD. Munroe has worked full-time on the comic since late 2006 and also worked as a contract programmer and roboticist for NASA at the Langley Research Center.

In addition to publishing a book of the webcomic's strips, he has written three books: What If?, Thing Explainer, and How-To.

The author of this book received thousands of strange questions from humans and scientifically answered them. It is difficult to tell about the strangeness of some of the questions and about Monroe's ability and professionalism to answer them. That's why I will write some of these questions that each answer is an interesting article in the fields of science, mathematics, physics, quantum mechanics, genetics, geology, evolution...etc.

With awesome humor and a simple and interesting explanation of the most complex phenomena of the universe using caricature, sometimes I close the book and browse what he published on his page (XKCD) and Laugh about his genius in caricature

From the book's questions:

What if the Earth suddenly stopped spinning?

What would happen if all humans jumped at the same time?

What would happen if you tried to make an ordinary plane from planet Earth fly over different bodies of the solar system. (Moon, Saturn, Jupiter...etc.)?

What happens if a person gives birth to a child of himself (self-fertilization) by converting stem cells into a sperm or an egg?

If we put a sink in the Pacific Ocean 10 meters in diameter that leads to space, how much time and speed would it take for the oceans to empty? How will the shape of the Earth change?

If this water suddenly fell on Mars, how would the planet change?

If you call a random number and suddenly say "God bless you", what are the chances that the person who answers has just sneezed?

What if the sun went off suddenly?

And dozens of strange questions that make you stunned by the ability of the human mind to ask questions, and the ability of science to answer... I would say this book is one of the most enjoyable books I have read.

Some nice caricature from XKCD
